About the Role

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (degree or diploma).
  • Some experience in construction, interiors, or a similar field is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Excel and cost management tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role.

About the Candidate

Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our team in managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and collaborative environment, working on diverse and impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for suspended ceiling and partitioning projects.
  • Support the procurement process, including obtaining quotes and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Help monitor project costs and progress, identifying and addressing cost variances.
  • Maintain and update financial records, cost plans, and databases.
  • Assist in preparing interim valuations, final accounts, and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure alignment with project budgets and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to measure works completed and verify compliance with plans and contracts.
  • Support the resolution of contractual and commercial issues with clients and subcontractors.
