About the Client

My client are a leading concrete contractor in South Florida, who focus high rise projects on complex concrete packages.

This role requires a strong understanding of concrete construction techniques, safety regulations, and project management principles. The Superintendent will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that concrete work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

  • Project Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive concrete construction plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and quality control measures.

  • Safety Management: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of concrete work to ensure that it meets specified quality standards and specifications.

  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee the performance of subcontractors involved in concrete operations, including scheduling, coordination, and quality control.

  • Equipment Management: Manage the procurement, maintenance, and operation of concrete construction equipment.

  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to concrete construction, such as delays, defects, or safety hazards.

  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of concrete workers to achieve project objectives.

About the Candidate

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction, preferably on high-rise projects.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale concrete projects.

  • Strong knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and equipment.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • OSHA 30-hour certification required.

  • Concrete certification (e.g., ACI) preferred
