We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in the Beltsville, MD office. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with experience in construction estimating to work on a diverse range of projects, including drywall, acoustical ceilings, framing, and other related scopes. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy in cost estimation.

About the Role

Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects by analyzing project plans, specifications, and related documents.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather the necessary data to develop precise cost proposals.
Identify project requirements, potential risks, and key deliverables while ensuring compliance with customer needs and industry standards.
Utilize estimating software and tools to develop detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and equipment.
Manage bid documentation, RFI processes, and vendor pricing to support competitive proposals.
Review project scope with internal teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and project budgets.
Maintain detailed records of estimates, revisions, and bid results for future reference and continuous improvement.
Support business development by building strong relationships with clients and suppliers to strengthen partnerships and enhance opportunities for future projects.

About the Candidate

Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on drywall, framing, or related scopes.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, project specifications, and technical documents.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost factors.
Experience with estimating software, such as On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, or similar tools.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to clients, team members, and vendors.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
