Job Details

Project Oversight:

• Oversee all on-site construction activities.

• Ensure work progresses according to schedule and contract specifications.

• Manage subcontractors and vendors.

• Monitor project costs and maintain budget control.

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues.

Scheduling and Planning:

• Develop and maintain project schedules.

• Coordinate subcontractors' work to ensure efficient workflow.

• Anticipate and mitigate potential delays.

• Track project milestones and adjust schedules as needed.

Safety Management:

• Enforce all site safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.

• Conduct regular safety meetings and training.

• Identify and correct safety hazards.

• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Quality Control:

• Inspect work for compliance with quality standards and specifications.

• Implement quality control procedures.

• Identify and address any defects or deficiencies.

Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact on-site.

• Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

• Provide regular project updates and reports.

• Conduct daily toolbox talks with crew members.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.

• Document safety inspections and incidents.

• Manage project closeout documentation.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred.  

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role.

• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.

• Strong understanding of safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.

Skills:

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.

• Knowledge of construction management software.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
