About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Contracts Manager to lead and oversee projects within our Fire Stopping Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, and delivering high-quality fire stopping solutions on time and within budget.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple fire stopping projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to completion.

  • Contract Administration: Manage all aspects of contract execution, including reviewing terms, managing changes, and resolving disputes.

  • Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with relevant fire safety regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  • Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, addressing concerns and managing expectations.

  • Procurement & Budgeting: Manage procurement of materials and subcontractors, monitor costs, and ensure projects are delivered within budget.

  • Health & Safety: Ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to on-site, conducting regular audits and inspections as necessary.

  • Reporting: Provide regular progress updates, cost reports, and risk assessments to senior management.

About the Candidate

Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in contracts management within the fire stopping or passive fire protection industry.

    • Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance standards (e.g., BS 476, ASFP guidelines).

  • Skills & Knowledge:

    • Expertise in managing contracts, including JCT and NEC forms of agreement.

    • Strong knowledge of fire stopping systems, products, and installation methodologies.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

    • Software Proficiency:

      • Competent in using project management and reporting software.

      • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

      • Personal Attributes:

        • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

        • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

        • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
