About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for drywall and interior system installations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project scope and ensure alignment on requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to compile accurate cost data.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and construction challenges during the pre-construction phase.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals, budgets, and timelines to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of material and labor costs, market trends, and industry standards.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and change orders to optimize project outcomes.
  • Ensure all estimates are completed within deadlines and comply with company policies and procedures.

About the Candidate

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Drywall Estimator in the New York / New Jersey. Two years minimum.
  • Strong understanding of drywall, metal stud framing, and interior system installations.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools, with knowledge of construction-related software (e.g., Quickbid).
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
