Key Responsibilities

• Project Evaluation:

  • Analyze project requirements, blueprints, and technical documents to understand scope and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to gather project details and assess requirements, as needed.

• Cost Estimation:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
  • Obtain and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Identify and account for project risks and potential cost variations.

• Proposal Preparation:

  • Develop and present comprehensive proposals and bids to clients.
  • Ensure all estimates are accurate, clear, and submitted within deadlines.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.
  • Support the sales team with technical information and cost breakdowns.

• Tracking and Reporting:

  • Maintain records of all estimates, project costs, and supplier agreements.
  • Review completed projects to assess accuracy of initial estimates and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as an estimator in the construction or drywall industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field are advantageous.
